Erosion 2030

The Erosion 2030 line displays soft coast which modelling predicts will be experiencing erosion by 2030.

It has been created with data derived from Dynamic Coast Phase 2 and a Coastal Erosion Susceptibility Model created by James Fitton to prioritise areas for walkover coastal heritage surveys.

This assessment has been created at a planning scale, based on an underlying grid of 500m2. Therefore, the Erosion 2030 line will also contain stretches of coastline which are not eroding.

For methodology and a fuller description of categories, including those not shown, see our short methodology report Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. Physical Prioritisation: Methodology.
