The site of the filming of the final scenes of the film 'The Wicker Man' where a large figure was built of wood and burnt at the climax of the film. The low stumps of the figure's legs set in a concrete base can now be seen at the bottom of a short track leading to the cliff edge from the Burrow Head caravan park.
The concrete base is 17ft x 4ft.

The site of the filming of the final scenes of the film 'The Wicker Man' where a large figure was built of wood and burnt at the climax of the film. The low stumps of the figure's legs set in a concrete base can now be seen at the bottom of a short track leading to the cliff edge from the Burrow Head caravan park.
The concrete base is 17ft x 4ft.
I don't think that this site is under threat from the sea, as it is mounted on a small cliff and the land between it and the coast rises slightly.
The concrete base is still in good condition, but the stumps appear to have suffered some decay. They are also under threat from vegetation growth.
I recommend that the stumps are kept weeded and maybe treated with a wood preservative.
